CHALLENGE?

CHALLENGE YOURSELF AND JOIN US FOR THE 3RD 180KM GO FOR BROKE FROM BEROWRA IN SYDNEY TO BROKE IN THE HUNTER VALLEY. HELP US RAISE FUNDS AND AWARENESS FOR MENTAL HEALTH & LIFE LINE HARBOUR TO HAWKESBURY WHILE WE’RE YOUR DOMESTIQUE.
Our inaugural ride in 2016 was a great success raising over $11,000. In 2017 we had 70 riders complete the ride. Living up to it’s reputation of being a super tough ride we rode through 37 degrees and hot north westerlies. Better still we exceeded our $30k fund raising goal with a total raised of $38,582.69 for Lifeline.

In 2018 we’re changing a few things to make the event even better. The KOM will be at the top of Mangrove Mountain with a lunch stop at Mangrove Mountain shops. As the event grows we’ll be limiting rider entries to 100. All previous GFB riders will be notified and be able to register before new riders. So get in quick when ticking opens in February.

To ensure you have a great day all riders will have en-route support with St John’s and Mildren Events looking after us. Each peloton travels with a support car with drinks & snacks on hand. But make sure you conserve your energy. With 165km in your legs you’ll have your chance to see what you’re made of when all riders can break our of their pelotons and GO FOR BROKE for the last 15km.

Go for Broke always organise our event to be on the first weekend of Term 3 NSW Schools holidays. In 2018 the event lines up with the long weekend in October. After the event if you’re not staying in the Hunter Valley we’ll again be offering coach transport back to Sydney for riders and their bikes. For the event dinner & accommodation we’re teaming up with Harrigan’s at Pokolbin. We look forward to riding with you.
